“Believe it can be done,” David Schwartz, The Magic of Thinking Big

 

Years ago, I was sitting in the office of Victor Taylor, the then Food and Beverage Director of New York City’s Carlyle Hotel.  We were in the middle of negotiating a technical wine tasting when I spotted a leather framed picture with the saying “It CAN  be done” on it.  I told him if he wanted my business, he would have to give it to me. Without blinking an eye, he handed it over.  To this day, it sits on my desk as a reminder that it you want something badly enough, you’ll find a way to make it happen.
