"How evil is tech?"

Noted NYT cultural columnist, David Brooks, never ceases to make me stop and think about important issues, like the impact of smartphones on our daily lives and culture. 

When I see both parents on their cell phones while walking their small child in a stroller, who is also nimbly playing with a device, I stop and wonder about our addiction to technology.  Is this really something that is impacting our culture for the better?
